Happy Happy Birthday, Benton Dear

This handsome feller just had himself a birthday. He is now the ripe old age of 28. Such a oldie! We celebrated mostly by getting as many free meals as we could, of course. Birthday's are good for that. We packed up the kiddos in the morning and headed to Joe's Farm Grill to use his free $10 of food. After stuffing our faces with yummy belgium waffles, pancakes, bacon and the like, we headed to my sister's to drop of the kids and while we went for a little hike up "A" mountain. Crazy as it sounds, that was my very first time hiking it and only Benton's 2nd. Both being natives here, that's pretty pathetic. It was so fun, not too easy, hard, long or short. We hung out at the top and enjoyed the view, limited as it is. (not a very tall mountain) But we couldn't have asked for better weather and it was so nice to have some time to our selves, minus all the other hikers, but ya know, sans children.
After the hike, we picked up the kids and drove to Liberty Market to use Benton's $10 free birthday money for lunch. Since it's conveniently located across the street from Joe's Real BBQ, we took the liberty to call in an order and cash in his free $10 there as well. Thank You Joe for having 3 good restaurants and letting us bank on all 3 of them! After lunch we went home, put the kids to bed, and we went to a matinee of The Dilemma while my mom babysat. Not many people go to movies at 2:00 on Thursday afternoons. There were 4 of us in a Giant theater. Us, and 2 old ladies. Fun movie, even better that it was only $5.
Back home after the movie to hang out with the kiddos for awhile, we really do like them. After bed time we hit up Firehouse Subs for Benton's free birthday sub. That place is really good by the way. And picked up a redbox. We watched The Other Guys, hilarious movie, but too much swearing, dang it. And called it a night. No birthday cake, we saved that for Sunday dinner, and boy howdy it's gonna be good. Ooey Gooey caramel brownies. mmm mmm mmm.
I hope you had a fun birthday Benton. I'm just glad you wanted to spend it all with me! Thanks for that and not going to the library at all. (he practically lives there lately) I sure love you and and am grateful everyday that the Lord blessed me with the perfect husband for me and father for our beautiful children. We all adore you! WE LOVE YOU, BENTON!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OLD MAN!!
