The Party

Macey had a killer 1st birthday party, I'm kinda jealous. We had all our family over and it made for a very fun, eventful afternoon. The kids wore themselves out on the blow-up jumbo water slide, (thank you Pete and Ang!) we filled our bellies with BBQ, cake and yummy homemade ice cream, and loved watching Macey dig into her smash cake, open her presents and officially walk for the first time. Thank you everyone for coming and for making Macey's big day a hit!

The kids playing on the water toy, note Chad spraying his own child right in the face with water, haha

Ok, this is Macey's cake, and really, this picture does not do it justice. A whole lot of effort, love and sweat went into this thing. It was a true team effort. 2 of my very best friends were in town and they graciously helped me design and decorate this baby until 1:00 am! Apes and Marissa, you two are the tops!!! Seriously, this cake tasted like a dream. The smash cake, decorated by Benton, with a little help from my mom :o)

Macey's first experience with cake. She definitely liked the frosting more than the cake

Opening presentsHer Elmo new chair, she LOVES this thing!! sooo cute
April, me, Marissa, and Mar 4 good friends that haven't all been together for a very long time!

Leave it to the Robinson grand kids to make sure the day never gets too dull. Here's what they did to entertain themselves during the party.
Miss R. snuck a sharpie and locked herself and her little sisters into the bathroom where she "decorated" the walls, counter tops, and their faces.
Next up are Mr. B and Miss J. they found a tub of aquaphor and some emollient cream and miss J used Mr. B as her canvas, Mr. B seemed not to mind in the slightest....Getting cleaned up, his hair still did that the next day, even after getting thoroughly washed with dawn.
